Ángel Niño Visits the Valoriza Pilot Project for Predictive Tree Management

Sandbox Madrid is entering a new phase with the launch of its first real-world tests in the city. The organizers are beginning to test their solutions in the field to verify their performance and evaluate their application in an urban setting.

In this context, Ángel Niño, Madrid City Council’s Councilor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has seen firsthand SIRAA, the solution developed by Valoriza that is being tested in La Vaguada Park to support tree management during adverse weather events.

The system collects information on the condition of the trees and wind and humidity levels, and incorporates real-time weather data.

The test will continue through the end of March and will allow for an evaluation of how this technology performs under real-world conditions at the park.

With the launch of these trials, Sandbox Madrid is making progress toward its goal of turning the city into an open laboratory where innovative solutions can be tested and validated before their potential implementation.
